Week Ten is well behind us, and Week 11 begins tomorrow night when the New York Jets hit the road for a divisional game against the New England Patriots. Before we actually turn our attention to that matchup, let's take a look back at some of the hottest takes that came out of Week Ten and determine if they're a proper reaction or an overreaction.

The Los Angeles Rams are the best team in the NFC.

Proper reaction

The Rams didn't just beat the San Francisco 49ers last weekend; they blew the doors off of San Fran, 42-26. If we're being honest, the final score was not indicative of how much of an ass-whooping this was. After going down by 22 points, the Niners scored a garbage-time touchdown before LA was able to run out the clock. There was never a moment when this game felt like it was going to tip in favor of San Francisco.

The Rams are 7-2 and in the middle of a four-game winning streak. During this stretch, they've outscored opponents 128-46, meaning their average margin of victory over the last four games has been 20.5 points. They're not just winning, they're crushing the competition. On top of that, their two losses are somewhat fluky. They're a blocked field goal attempt away from having beaten the Philadelphia Eagles on the road. Also, if Sean McVay hadn't gone for a fourth-down attempt in overtime during their Week Five matchup against the 49ers, there's a chance the Rams might be undefeated right now.

The Rams look dominant, quarterback Matthew Stafford is playing like an MVP, and they have one of the best records in the NFL. Based on all of those factors, it's safe to call them the best team in the NFC, and maybe even the entire NFL.

The Baltimore Ravens will win the AFC North.

Proper reaction

Don't look now, but the Ravens are heating up. After starting the year 1-5, Baltimore has won three games in a row to improve to 4-5 on the season. At the same time, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reeling. They started the campaign 4-1, but are 1-3 in their last four matchups and have just a 1.5-game lead in the race for the AFC North. Each week, the Ravens inch closer and closer to taking sole possession of first place in the division.

The next three weeks of NFL action will be huge for both of these teams. Barring anything crazy, the Ravens should take care of the Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, and Cincinnati Bengals to improve their record to 7-5. Meanwhile, the Steelers have games against Cincy, the Chicago Bears, and the Buffalo Bills. In all likelihood, Pittsburgh will probably end up losing at least one of those games, which sets us up for a Week 14 matchup between the Ravens and the Steelers to decide who will take sole possession of first place in the AFC North. Something tells me Baltimore will be able to win that game and overtake Pittsburgh in the race for the divisional crown. From there, they just need to beat the Steelers one more time on the road, and they can win the AFC North.

The Buffalo Bills will miss the playoffs.

Overreaction

There's no denying that the loss to the Miami Dolphins was a real gut punch, but it doesn't actually impact the Bills' standing in the AFC East. In all likelihood, the Patriots will run away with the division. They already have a head-to-head victory over Buffalo and a two-game lead in the AFC East. The Bills will likely have to make the playoffs as a wild-card team. The good news in that regard is that they already have tiebreakers over the Chiefs and the Ravens. Plus, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans haven't been playing consistent football as of late. One of those wild-card spots will end up going to the Bills.

Obviously, nothing is guaranteed in the National Football League. Thankfully, the Bills have some favorable matchups against teams like the Bengals, Browns, and Jets, which will help them reach nine wins. Unfortunately, they also have a tough stretch of opponents, with games against the Texans, Buccaneers, Steelers, Patriots, and Eagles. If they can beat at least two of those five opponents, they'll most likely make the postseason.

The Green Bay Packers will miss the playoffs.

Proper reaction

The Packers were once the class of the NFC with a conference-leading record of 4-1-1. Since then, they're 1-2, while other teams have ascended to the top of the mountain. There is a plethora of good teams in the NFC. Outside of the Packers, eight teams have a .500 or better record in the conference. With two of those squads holding head-to-head tiebreakers over Green Bay, the outlook in Titletown isn't great at the moment.

The Packers are playing some of the worst football in the NFL right now from an offensive standpoint. That doesn't bode well for a team that has five divisional matchups in its next eight games. Plus, their non-divisional opponents are all good. They have to face the New York Giants this week, who will be playing with a fire under their ass after head coach Brian Daboll was fired earlier this week. Green Bay also has to take on the 8-2 Denver Broncos, who have one of the best defenses in the NFL, and the Ravens, who are looking much better and will have something to play for in the final few weeks of the season. There's no shot that Green Bay goes undefeated over the final eight weeks of the season. In fact, the Packers will be lucky to win four games, and that will only happen if they defeat some of their divisional opponents at home, where they have lost their last two matchups. 9-7-1 will not be good enough to earn Green Bay a playoff spot this season, and, right now, it feels like the Packers are destined to finish with a worse record than that.

The Denver Broncos should be worried about Bo Nix.

Overreaction

It's okay to admit that Denver quarterback Bo Nix is in a slump right now. In his last two starts, Nix has completed 52.3% of his passes for 161.5 passing yards per game, three passing TDs, three interceptions, and a passer rating of 62.5. Considering his passer rating this season is 85.7, it's fair to say that he has underperformed over the last two weeks. At the end of the day, though, the Broncos are 2-0 in those games, and success in the NFL is measured by wins, not passer rating.

Some members of the media are claiming that the Denver Broncos need to move on from Nix and take a quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft, which is absolute nonsense. Bo Nix is on pace to finish the regular season with 31 touchdown passes and just 14 interceptions. If you ask most fanbases in the NFL, they will gladly take that level of production from their QB, especially one who has only started 28 games at the pro level. Broncos head coach Sean Payton hand-picked Bo Nix to be the quarterback of the future in Denver. There is no way that they are going to move on from him when he has led the team to an 18-10 record. This is a small bump in the road for Nix. He will bounce back and start playing well again soon.

Aaron Glenn has changed the New York Jets' culture.

Proper reaction

The Jets are definitely a bad team. However, it's reasonable to say that the victory they had on Sunday over the Cleveland Browns was more about changing the culture in New York rather than actually improving Gang Green's standing in the AFC East.

The Jets were sellers at the trade deadline, as proven by the fact that they parted ways with two of their best players. When teams make moves like that, it's an indication that they are waving the white flag on the season. But instead of giving up and not putting in much of an effort, the Jets had their best game of the 2025-26 campaign on Sunday, when they beat another bad team that is arguably much more talented than they are. That was head coach Aaron Glenn sending a message to his locker room. New York doesn't need talented players to win games. They need people who believe in what he and general manager Darren Mougey are building.

What's happening in the Big Apple is similar to what took place in Detroit when Dan Campbell was hired. During his first season, Campbell started the year 0-10-1, but went 3-3 in his last six games. The Jets look to be on a somewhat similar trajectory. They were 0-7, but now they're on a two-game winning streak. They're not going to finish the regular season with a winning record, but competing hard and winning games will have members of the organization buying into the culture that the new regime is trying to establish.
