Milwaukee Brewers @ St. Louis Cardinals at 1:15 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.
The matchup between these two squads that was originally scheduled for yesterday was postponed due to inclement weather. As a result, that game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on July 7th when these teams are next scheduled to face off in St. Louis. The two pitchers who were supposed to be on the mound yesterday will instead be starting this afternoon. With the postponement, this will be the last game between Milwaukee and St. Louis for the time being. Will the Cardinals finish this stint 2-0, or can the Cardinals even things up?
One question that will be answered: Will Brandon Sproat and Andre Pallante each go six innings apiece since they got an extra day of rest?
Cincinnati Reds @ Chicago Cubs at 7:40 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.
This has been one of the most exciting regular-season series of the 2026 campaign. Each of the first two games in this set ended with walk-offs. It might've taken extra innings yesterday, but first baseman Michael Busch's game-winning RBI single in the tenth inning gave Chicago a 3-2 victory, extending the team’s win streak to a league-leading seven games. The Reds will be leaning on Brady Singer to propel them to victory. Meanwhile, Colin Rea gets the nod for the Cubbies.
One question that will be answered: Considering the last two games have been won on walk-offs, will today's matchup be decided by just one run?
Cleveland Guardians @ Kansas City Royals at 7:40 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.
It's not often we highlight teams with losing records, but the 18-19 Guardians and the 17-19 Royals both have a chance to overtake the Detroit Tigers for first place in the AL Central. Cleveland is trying to end a three-game slide, while KC is hoping to improve its winning streak to six games. Joey Cantillo will be on the mound for the Guardians. On the other side, Cole Ragans gets the start for the Royals as he looks for his second consecutive win after starting the campaign with four straight losses. One of these teams' streaks will end tonight.
One question that will be answered: With the second-most stolen bases in the Majors this season (13), will Jose Ramirez record a stolen base in this one?
Pittsburgh Pirates @ Arizona Diamondbacks at 9:40 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.
The D-Backs demolished the Pirates in the first of their three-game set yesterday, 9-0. Arizona scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth, while starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez struck out seven batters in seven innings. In all likelihood, Pittsburgh will not allow as many runs tonight since it’ll be turning to ace pitcher Paul Skenes, who has only given up three total earned runs in his last three starts. Simultaneously, Michael Soroka gets the start for Arizona after giving up eight earned runs his last time out.
One question that will be answered: Can the Diamondbacks get at least one earned run off of Paul Skenes?
NBA
Philadelphia 76ers @ New York Knicks Game Two at 7:00 p.m. EDT on ESPN.
The Sixers will obviously need to be much better than they were in Game One, when they were manhandled by the Knicks 137-98. New York made 23 more baskets than Philly while shooting 51% from beyond the arc. In all fairness to the 76ers, though, they were probably exhausted from the grueling seven-game series they played against the Boston Celtics in round one. Tonight's game will likely be much more competitive than Monday’s.
One question that will be answered: Will the margin of victory in this matchup be eight points or fewer?
Minnesota Timberwolves @ San Antonio Spurs Game Two at 9:30 p.m. EDT on ESPN.
Even though Spurs superstar center Victor Wembanyama posted a triple-double and set a single-game playoff record for blocks with 12, it wasn't enough after Minnesota took Game One, 104-102. San Antonio forward Julian Champagnie had a chance to win the game, but his three-point attempt bounced off the rim as time expired, allowing the Timberwolves to take a 1-0 series lead. Minnesota guard Anthony Edwards is listed as a game-time decision, but in all likelihood, he’ll once again be on the court after playing 25 minutes on Monday. If this young Spurs team wants to keep this thing competitive, they’ll need to even the series up tonight.
One question that will be answered: How many points, rebounds, assists, and blocks will Victor Wembanyama record this evening?
NHL
Montreal Canadiens @ Buffalo Sabres Game One at 7:00 p.m. EDT on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.
Atlantic Division rivals kick off their second-round playoff series when the Sabres go head-to-head with the Canadiens. If the regular season is any indication of what’s to come, then this thing will go seven games since Buffalo and Montreal each won two contests apiece during the regular-season series. The Sabres are only 1-2 at home during the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, while the Habs are 3-1 on the road this postseason. Also, you shouldn’t be surprised if this thing is decided in overtime. Five of the 13 games the Canadiens and Sabres have played in the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs have gone to OT.
One question that will be answered: Will this game be decided in regulation?
Anaheim Ducks @ Vegas Golden Knights Game Two at 9:30 p.m. EDT on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.
The Ducks are hoping to exact revenge on the Golden Knights after a controversial finish in Game One. Vegas forward Ivan Barbashev scored what would be the game-winning goal after referees missed an icing call that would have nullified the play. Following the loss, Anaheim head coach Joel Quenneville criticized the referees, saying that he "disagreed with the call" and that he also didn't receive an explanation as to why the whistle wasn't blown for icing. After that, the Golden Knights scored on an empty-netter for the 3-1 victory. Based on how Game One ended, the Ducks will probably come out pissed as they try to even up the series before this thing shifts to California.
One question that will be answered: Can a pissed-off and highly motivated Ducks team score first in Game Two?
