MLB

Chicago Cubs @ Pittsburgh Pirates at 1:35 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The 29-24 Cubs meet the 27-26 Pirates for their second regular-season series of the 2026 campaign. Chicago is looking to get one back on Pittsburgh after the Pirates took the first set, 2-1. More importantly, the Cubbies need a victory to snap their league-leading eight-game losing streak. It won't be easy, though, considering the Pirates are 3-2 in their last five outings. Chicago will look to its bullpen as relief pitcher Ben Brown gets the initial start. Going against him will be Carmen Mlodzinski for Pittsburgh, who makes his 11th start of the year.

One question that will be answered: How many different pitchers will the Cubs use in this game?

St. Louis Cardinals @ Milwaukee Brewers at 2:10 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The 30-20 Brewers will host the 29-22 Cardinals in a three-game set that will determine who takes control of first place in the NL Central. Currently, the Cards trail the Brew Crew by 1.5 games for the divisional lead. Though Milwaukee is 7-3 in its last ten games, it's in the middle of a two-game slide. Meanwhile, St. Louis is looking for a bounce back after a 7-6 extra innings loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Superstar pitcher Jacob Misiorowski gets the nod for the Brewers. He'll be going against the Cardinals' Matthew Liberatore.

One question that will be answered: How many strikeouts will Misiorowski record today?

Seattle Mariners @ Athletics at 9:40 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The 25-29 Mariners will be on the road as they try to overtake the 27-26 Athletics for the lead in the AL West. As things stand, the 2025 divisional champs are 2.5 games behind the A's for first place in the West. They're also trying to end a two-game skid after they were outscored by the Kansas City Royals 13-6 in their last two matchups. As for the Athletics, they're trying to get over a series loss to the San Diego Padres. Luis Castillo gets the nod for Seattle, while Aaron Civale will be on the mound for the Athletics.

One question that will be answered: With the highest OBP in the majors over the last 15 days (.552), how many times will the A's Nick Kurtz get on base?

NBA

New York Knicks @ Cleveland Cavaliers Game Four at 8:00 p.m. EDT on ESPN.

The Eastern Conference Finals in the 2026 NBA Playoffs could come to an end tonight when the Cavaliers host the Knicks. On Saturday, New York led wire-to-wire as the Knickerbockers won, 121-108, for their 10th straight postseason victory. New York guard Jalen Brunson finished with a game-high 30 points while guard Mikal Bridges added another 22 on a night where he made 11 of 15 baskets. If the Knicks win, they’ll punch their ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. However, the Cavaliers will be desperate to keep their season alive with their backs against the wall. We'll find out tonight if Cleveland can avoid the sweep.

One question that will be answered: How many points will Donovan Mitchell and James Harden combine for?

NHL

Carolina Hurricanes @ Montreal Canadiens Game Three at 8:00 p.m. EDT on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.

The 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs Eastern Conference Finals moves to Canada's biggest city after the Canes evened up the series with an overtime win in Game Two. Following the 6-2 drubbing Carolina suffered, they countered with a 3-2 victory at home over the Weekend. On a breakaway with about 3:30 gone in the first overtime period of Game Two, Hurricanes winger Nikolaj Ehlers whipped a shot past Montreal goalie Jakub Dobes to secure the win. That was Ehlers' second goal of the game, bringing his point total to six in the 2026 Playoffs. Tonight, these squads will kick off a two-game set in Montreal as the Habs attempt to retake the lead in the series.

One question that will be answered: Will we see our first power play goal of the series tonight?

WNBA

Portland Fire @ New York Liberty at 8:00 p.m. EDT on NBC Sports and Peacock.

The 3-3 Fire conclude their regular-season series with the 3-3 Liberty tonight at the Barclays Center as both teams vie for the eighth seed in the WNBA standings. Portland won the first game between these two, 98-96, on what was basically a buzzer-beater by guard Sarah Ashlee Barker. Two days later, New York returned the favor with a 100-82 victory in Portland. The rubber meets the road tonight as one of these squads will temporarily take control of the eighth seed and final playoff spot in the WNBA standings.

One question that will be answered: How many points will the Liberty's Sabrina Ionescu score after the stinker she had in her season debut yesterday?
