Second Round of the 2026 U.S. Women's Open at 2:00 p.m. EDT on USA Network, Peacock, and NBC Sports.

Coverage of the second round of the 2026 U.S. Women's Open continues today at 2:00 p.m. American Jennifer Kupcho came out on top in the first round by finishing five strokes under par. Right on her tail is South Korea's Kim Sei-young, who's just one stroke behind Kupcho. At the same time, the top-ranked women's golfer in the world, Nelly Korda, is hoping to bounce back after shooting a 73 yesterday to finish the first round two strokes over par.

One question that will be answered: Will Jennifer Kupcho be able to ride her hot start into today and go into the weekend at the top of the leaderboard?

MLB

Chicago White Sox @ Philadelphia Phillies at 6:40 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

For two teams that looked absolutely dead in the water, the 33-29 White Sox and 33-29 Phillies have both turned their seasons around. Chicago is 26-15 ever since opening the year with a 7-14 record, which currently makes them the number-two wild card team in the AL. On the other side, Philadelphia has the second-best record in baseball since May 9th (16-7) as they find themselves tied with two other teams for an NL Wild Card spot. With both squads trying to keep pace in their playoff races, Anthony Kay gets the nod for the Sox, and Jesus Luzardo will be the Phillies' starter.

One question that will be answered: With two of the three best home run hitters in baseball taking the field, will Kyle Schwarber (23) and Muntaka Murakami (20) combine for at least one homer tonight?

Pittsburgh Pirates @ Atlanta Braves at 7:15 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The best team in the Majors, the 42-21 Braves, kick off a three-game homestand against the 34-29 Pirates, who only have a half-game lead for the number-one Wild Card in the National League. Atlanta is trying to bounce back from the 7-2 thumping it suffered against the Toronto Blue Jays. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh is hoping to build on its 5-1 victory against the Houston Astros and win its second game in a row. Mitch Keller will be on the mound for the Pirates as Martin Perez starts for the Braves.

One question that will be answered: Considering Pittsburgh is tied for the most runs scored in the Majors over the last 15 days (77), will they reach home plate at least four times today?

Cincinnati Reds @ St. Louis Cardinals at 8:15 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

NL Central rivals face off in their second series of the season when the 31-30 Reds travel to St. Louis for a matchup with the 32-28 Cardinals. Based on tiebreakers, the Cards currently control the NL's second Wild Card. However, Cincy is only 1.5 games away from leapfrogging St. Louis for the National League's WC2. Tonight will also be something of a rubber match since the regular-season series is tied 1-1. The pitching battle will see the Reds' Brady Singer going against the Cardinals' Kyle Leahy.

One question that will be answered: Because Cincinnati is tied for the second-most home runs allowed this season (88), can the Cardinals hit at least two balls out of the park?

Washington Nationals @ Arizona Diamondbacks at 9:40 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

Though they're below .500, the 31-32 Nationals are in the thick of the playoff race, just 2.5 games back from a wild card spot in the NL. The 33-29 D-backs are in an even better position since they're tied with the Cards and Phillies for the National League's WC2. Both teams are trying to get out of a funk. Arizona is 3-7 in its last 10 outings, and the Nats are in the middle of a three-game losing streak. Something has to give with Foster Griffin on the bump for Washington and Merrill Kelly starting for the Diamondbacks.

One question that will be answered: As the fourth-best slugging team in the Majors over the last 30 days (.438), how many extra-base hits will the Nationals have?

NBA

New York Knicks @ San Antonio Spurs NBA Finals Game Two at 8:30 p.m. EDT on ABC.

The second game of the 2026 NBA Finals will take place in San Antonio after the Knicks rallied for an impressive win on Wednesday. Though New York trailed 63-50 in the second half, they came back for a 105-95 victory. Knicks guard Jalen Brunson was the hero of the game - despite dealing with multiple injuries - scoring 13 points in the fourth quarter of Game One on his way to a 30-point outing. Unfortunately for San Antonio, 22-year-old superstar Victor Wembanyama struggled, going just six for 21 from the field while recording six turnovers. Still, he managed to finish the evening with 26 points and 12 rebounds. The Spurs must play better tonight because only five teams in league history have come back from a 2-0 series deficit to win the NBA Finals.

One question that will be answered: How many total points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals will Victor Wembanyama record?
