MLB

Detroit Tigers @ Atlanta Braves at 12:15 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The Braves extended their winning streak to three games with their second consecutive victory over the Tigers. Atlanta first baseman Matt Olson was the hero of the game after hitting a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning for a 4-3 victory. He spoiled a good performance by Tigers ace Tarik Skubal, who recorded seven strikeouts in seven innings. The series concludes this afternoon with Detroit's Framber Valdez going against Atlanta's Bryce Elder, who is tied for the sixth-best ERA in the majors at 1.95.

One question that will be answered: Will Matt Olson, who is tied for second in the MLB in RBIs (28), record at least one today?

St. Louis Cardinals @ Pittsburgh Pirates at 12:35 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The Cards and Pirates end their four-game set with one last matchup in Pittsburgh. St. Louis has dominated the series so far, outscoring the Pirates 20-13 for three straight victories. Yesterday's game came down to the final pitch of the evening, when Cardinals left fielder Nathan Church robbed Nick Gonzales of what would've been a walk-off home run for the final out of the game as St. Louis held on for a 5-4 victory. To steal at least one win in this series, the Pirates are turning to ace pitcher Paul Skenes this afternoon, while righty Hunter Dobbins makes his first start of the season for the Cardinals.

One question that will be answered: Will Paul Skenes record his third straight start without allowing an earned run?

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Milwaukee Brewers at 1:40 p.m. EDT on MLB.TV.

The D-Backs and Brewers finish their three-game series this afternoon at American Family Field. Milwaukee crushed Arizona in the first game of the series, 13-2. However, the Diamondbacks evened things up with a 6-2 victory yesterday. Arizona first baseman Ildemaro Vargas went two for five yesterday, as he continues to lead the MLB in batting average (.372). The Brandon Woodruff will be on the bump today for the Brew Crew. On the other side, Michael Soroka and his perfect 4-0 record get the nod for Arizona. This game will decide who takes the series, so there will obviously be a lot on the line today.

One question that will be answered: Will these teams combine for at least 11 runs this afternoon?

NBA

New York Knicks @ Atlanta Hawks at 7:00 p.m. EDT on ESPN.

The Knicks have a chance to close out this series tonight after they thwomped the Hawks in Game Five, 126-97. New York guard Jalen Brunson finished the night with 39 points, eight assists, and three rebounds. Conversely, it was the worst game of the series for Hawks guard CJ McCollum, who was held to six points after going three for ten shooting. Tonight's contest will be held in Atlanta, where the Knickerbockers are 1-1 in the series. We'll find out if New York will move on to the next round of the playoffs or if this thing will be decided in a Game Seven on Saturday.

One question that will be answered: How many points will CJ McCollum have in this contest?

Boston Celtics @ Philadelphia 76ers at 8:00 p.m. EDT on NBCSN and Peacock.

In a crucial Game Six, the Celtics and 76ers will be in Philadelphia as Boston tries to close out this series and move on to the next round of the playoffs. The last time out, Sixers center Joel Embiid proved that he's still one of the best players in the NBA, finishing Game Five with 33 points, eight assists, and four rebounds as the 76ers kept their season alive with a 113-97 victory. As is usually the case in Boston's losses, the Celtics struggled from beyond the arc, going 11 for 39 on three-point attempts. If the C's want to move on to the second round of the playoffs, they'll need to take care of business tonight and connect on more threes. Otherwise, these teams will meet for a Game Seven on Saturday.

One question that will be answered: How many three-pointers will Boston make?

Denver Nuggets @ Minnesota Timberwolves at 9:30 p.m. EDT on ESPN.

After Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo went down in Game Four, the Nuggets came out victorious in Game Five to keep their season alive and shift the series back to Minnesota. Nikola Jokic put up MVP-caliber numbers with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 16 assists. Denver also got some scoring from its role players as Cameron Johnson and Spencer Jones combined for 38 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and six steals. The good news for the Timberwolves is that tonight's game will be played at the Target Center, where Minnesota is undefeated in this series. With a 3-2 lead, the T-Wolves need at least one of their role players to step up if they want to knock the Nuggets out of the playoffs.

One question that will be answered: Can Jaden McDaniels, Mike Conley, and Ayo Dosunmu each score at least ten points tonight?

NHL

Dallas Stars @ Minnesota Wild at 7:30 p.m. EDT on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.

In what has been the best series of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Wild have a chance to punch their tickets to the Western Conference Semifinals tonight, where they would face the Presidents' Trophy-winning Colorado Avalanche. But first, they'll have to take care of the Stars at home. The last time these teams took the ice, Minnesota beat Dallas 4-2 on a night where Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov recorded a goal and two assists for three total points. We also have to give our flowers to Minnesota goalie Jesper Wallstedt, who made 20 saves on 22 Stars shot attempts. The Wild can clinch the series if they stay out of the penalty box. They've allowed nine power play goals thus far, the most of any team in the postseason. If their special teams unit can step up, then Minnesota will move on.

One question that will be answered: How many power play chances will the Stars get tonight?

Edmonton Oilers @ Anaheim Ducks at 10:00 p.m. EDT on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max.

Edmonton kept its season alive and avoided a gentleman's sweep with a victory in Game Five. The Oilers' stars were superb in that contest, with forwards Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid combining for two goals and two assists as Edmonton won that game 4-1. Goalie Connor Ingram was also sensational, with 29 saves on 30 shots for a .967 save percentage. The series returns to Anaheim this evening, where the Ducks are undefeated in the playoffs, outscoring Edmonton 11-7. Tonight, we'll find out if Anaheim can shock the NHL world, or if we'll get a Game Seven.

One question that will be answered: How many points will Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl record this evening?
