Thunder down the Lakers in Game One

The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Los Angeles Lakers last night, 108-90, to take the first game in their Western Conference Semifinals matchup. Forward Chet Holmgren tallied 24 points and 12 rebounds, leading OKC in both categories, while LeBron James led all players with 27 points.

Toronto Maple Leafs win NHL Draft Lottery

The Toronto Maple Leafs won the 2026 NHL Draft Lottery, meaning they will be picking first in the 2026 NHL Draft next month in Buffalo, New York. The San Jose Sharks earned the number-two overall pick in the draft, while the Vancouver Canucks - who had the worst record in the league - will be picking third.

Pistons edge out Cavaliers for 1-0 series lead

The Detroit Pistons beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 111-101. Though Cleveland rallied from an 18-point first-half deficit to tie the game 93-93 in the fourth quarter, Detroit finished the evening on an 18-8 run for the eventual win.

The Pistons' Cade Cunningham and Tobias Harris combined for 43 points in the game. Plus, center Jalen Duren recorded an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double. Every Detroit starter finished with double-digit scoring outputs.

Avalanche go up 2-0 on Wild

The Colorado Avalanche beat the Minnesota Wild 5-2 for a 2-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Playoff Western Conference Semifinals. Avalanche star center Nathan MacKinnon scored a goal and added two assists for three points on the night. On top of that, goalie Scott Wedgewood denied 29 of Minnesota's 31 shots for a .935 save percentage.

Stefon Diggs found not guilty of assault and strangulation

Yesterday, former New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs was found not guilty of assaulting his private chef. The two-time All-Pro previously pleaded not guilty to allegations that he slapped and strangled Jamila Adams in his home.

Now that he has been acquitted, Diggs could return to the field this coming season. However, there is still a chance the National Football League will discipline him.

Jaylen Brown fined $50K for criticizing officials

The NBA fined Boston Celtics star guard Jaylen Brown $50,000 for comments he made about the officiating in the team's Game Seven matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers last weekend. This comes after Brown claimed during a Twitch stream that referees have “an agenda" against him following previous criticisms he made towards the league’s officiating.

This is the second time this season that brown has been fined for comments criticizing league officials. He was also fined $35K in January after going on a postgame rant following a loss the Celtics suffered against the San Antonio Spurs.

Cubs beat the Reds on a walk-off RBI single in extra innings

The Chicago Cubs rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-2 in extra innings, giving them a 2.5-game lead for first place in the stacked NL Central. Chicago first baseman Michael Busch hit a single to center field in the tenth inning of that contest, allowing shortstop Dansby Swanson to score the game-winning run. This is the Cubs’ second walk-off victory in as many days.
