Saturday, 30th May

Haydock

Get ready for the Betway Sparkling Saturday over at Haydock this weekend – an action-packed day of flat racing with an electric trackside atmosphere.

There are seven races scheduled throughout the day, most of which are broadcast live on ITV, with the following contests worth catching:

Betway Lester Piggott Fillies' Stakes (3:10)

The Betway Lester Piggott Fillies' Stakes (3:10) is the feature race of the day – a 1m4f flat race with 13 runners currently entered (maximum of 17 can take part).

Trainer David O'Meara has the early favourite in this one with Estrange, a 5-year-old in mighty fine form, finishing in the top two in the last 5 races.

Betway Achilles Stakes (2:33)

Tune in just before the Betway Lester Piggott Fillies' Stakes feature race to catch the Betway Achilles Stakes (2:33) – a 5f flat race offering more than £30,000 to the winner.

There are currently just 11 runners entered in this one, with Ralph Beckett’s Starlust noted as the early favourite. Other interesting entries include Charlie Appleby’s Symbol Of Honour and Clive Cox’s Redorange

Beverley

Next up, it’s Beverley, and we’ve got seven races to watch at their Very British Raceday.

Hilary Needler Trophy EBF Fillies' Conditions Stakes (2:15)

Archie Watson’s Cosmic Mystery is the early favourite in the 5f Hilary Needler Trophy EBF Fillies' Conditions Stakes.

There is, however, plenty of competition from K R Burke with the three early entries of Kodi Bear Light, Light Of Dawn and Etonnante

Beverley Two-Year-Old Trophy EBF Conditions Stakes (2:48)

A second 5f race well worth watching is the Beverley Two-Year-Old Trophy EBF Conditions Stakes (2:48).

Richard Hannon’s Cut A Dash is the one to watch, but Richard & Peter Fahey’s Virtuous Star could help provide some fantastic racing.

Sunday, 31st May

Thirsk

We’re heading over to North Yorkshire on Sunday and to Thirsk for the Sky Bet Sunday Series.

There are seven races to keep bettors busy with all the action broadcast directly onto ITV4 – don’t miss it!

Sky Bet Price Boosts Handicap (5:45)

The Sky Bet Price Boosts Handicap (5:45) is, for me, the one to watch at Thirsk this weekend.

A maximum of 20 runners will take to the 6f course with plenty of exciting entries to look forward to. Michael Appleby’s Annaf looks to be an early favourite, as does Tim Easterby’s Brighton Boy and Adrian McGuiness’s Dark Ace. Watch for free on ITV4.

Sky Bet For The Fans Handicap (5:15)

We head into the early evening with the Sky Bet For The Fans Handicap (6:15) – a 2m with a max of 20 runners (18 currently entered).

The early top three is currently made up of Own Burrows’s Afred Boucher, Faye Bramley’s Almuhit and Ralph Beckett’s Anniversary. Watch all the action unfold on ITV4.
