Prediction
Kimi Antonelli may have only managed to finish third in Hungary, but he was hampered by a three-place grid penalty and started the Grand Prix in seventh.
At a track notoriously difficult to overtake on, his progression from seventh to third was an impressive performance and the lap deltas showed that Mercedes’ race pace was up there with McLaren.
The Italian teenager finished 11th in last season’s Dutch Grand Prix, but he has shown tremendous improvement this year and has only finished outside the podium positions in two of the 11 Grands Prix this season. He looks a well-priced favourite for his seventh victory of 2026.
Max Verstappen will draw a huge crowd for his home Grand Prix, and the four-time world champion has been a stellar performer around Circuit Zandvoort since its return to the calendar.
He has finished first or second in all five of his Dutch Grands Prix, and he will take heart from an improving Red Bull over the last few races.
Verstappen may be yet to win a race this season, but he has finished on the podium in three of his last four races and looked to have podium potential in the British Grand Prix before his retirement.
