Celtic vs Hearts - 12:30 pm (Premiership)

We begin at lunchtime in Glasgow, where Celtic and Hearts will contest a direct shootout for the Scottish title in the biggest game north of the border in a generation. Each of the teams’ previous three meetings this term have produced over 2.5 goals, with two of those encounters seeing four or more goals, including their last face off in January (2-2). Expect drama by the bucketload at Parkhead.

Union Berlin vs FC Augsburg - 2:30 pm (Bundesliga)

Marie-Louise Eta oversaw her first win as Union Berlin coach in last weekend’s fine 3-1 victory at Mainz and emboldened by that display, the Iron Ones should be primed to attack again on Saturday. Augsburg need to win in the capital to stand a chance of finishing 7th and their pursuit of points should lead to an open game. 100% of Union Berlin’s last five league fixtures have featured over 2.5 goals and Saturday’s campaign closer could follow suit.

Viking vs Start - 3:00 pm (Eliteserien)

Viking have been an entertaining watch in the opening exchanges of the new Eliteserien campaign in Norway and a massive 100% of Viking’s home games and 75% of their first eight fixtures overall have produced 3+ goals. 60% of Start’s away tests so far meanwhile, have also beaten a target of over 2.5 goals, so goals hunters can add this one to dockets with confidence.

Rheindorf Altach vs Ried - 4:00 pm (Austrian Bundesliga)

Altach and Ried played out a five-goal thriller (2-3) when they last crossed paths in April and that was the second time in as many encounters between the strugglers where a bet on over 2.5 goals would have landed. Saturday’s Relegation Group clash between the clubs could be just as eventful. Six of Altach’s last eight domestic fixtures have featured over 2.5 goals and another glut of goalmouth action could be in the works here.

Standard Liege vs Genk - 5:15 (First Division A)

Six of Standard Liege’s last seven matches in Belgium have produced three or more goals, as have each of their last three tussles on home soil. 11 of Genk’s last 12 games on the road in all competitions have also seen over 2.5 goals, while four of their last five encounters with Standard Liege have vaulted the same hurdle. Saturday’s skirmish has all the ingredients required for another goal-fest.

Sporting CP vs Gil Vicente - 8:30 pm (Primeira Liga)

Sporting CP can’t win the Primeira Liga title this season, though they will finish as the division’s top scorers by a distance. Sporting have notched 86 times in 33 league fixtures so far, while 81% of their home games have beaten a target of over 2.5 goals. The Lions have double motivation to perform this weekend, so expect them to chase more goals. They need a win to stay in second spot ahead of rivals Benfica and they’ll also want to sign off in style in their final league outing of the campaign. Expect excitement in Lisbon.
