Football Accumulator Tips: Simon Flynn's 43/1 ACCA Feat. Barcalona, Arsenal, Celtic

Last week’s ACCA was popular, and an 8/10 score was not too bad. Of course, you only win a prize when you hit 10/10, so we need to do better. The selections were damaged by too many BTTS selections, so we will go lighter on those this week. Otherwise, the logic is the same - we are backing teams with something to play for, be it the title, promotion, relegation or European qualification.
Osasuna v Barcelona (Saturday, BTTS)
Barcelona is always a great bet for BTTS, and Osasuna is a tough place to go in search of points. The Catalans lost 4-2 here last season, and any kind of repeat will see BTTS come good. Ante Budimir continues to enjoy an Indian summer against quality La Liga opposition, and will be the main goal threat for the home side, while Barca’s attacking threat is as legendary as their porous defence.
PSG v Lorient (Saturday, PSG win)
Top versus middle is always a good ACCA bet at this stage of the season so this tie between the Parisien megaclub and Lorient is an obvious selection. Lorient have been inconsistent since the start of the year, with impressive wins against Marseille and Lens mingled with defeats against the likes of Strasbourg and Toulouse. If this game was played on the balance sheet, Luis Enrique’s men would pick up an easy 3 points on the way to another title. One slight concern has to be that for PSG, this game is the sandwich between the two slices of FC Bayern in the Champions League semi-finals. Will PSG take their eye off the ball here? They might, and that’s the risk for a PSG win.
Metz v Monaco (Saturday, Monaco win)
Monaco are still fighting hard for European qualification and travel to the North-east of France to take on bottom-placed Metz. Monaco have had what will ultimately be considered a disappointing season. At times in the Champions League campaign they have shown genuine quality, and they should have qualified with a fair bit to spare. And so it’s confusing why they are scrapping it out for a Europa place. But that’s where they are, and there is no better place to put things right than at Metz, who have been truly dreadful all season, conceding more than 2 goals a game.
Arsenal v Fulham (Saturday, Arsenal win)
Arsenal are fighting tooth-and-nail with Man City this year, with every point and every goal critical, making the matches of both teams ideal candidates for accumulators. While Arsenal can’t be blamed for trying, they have often struggled at the business end of the season in recent years, and they have shown suggestions of repeating their failings this time around. That said, they are a better team with a bigger squad. Havertz, Eza and even the much-maligned Gyokeres are getting in amongst the goals and should be able to outscore Fulham, especially if it comes down to set pieces.
Espanyol v Real Madrid (Sunday, Madrid win)
Madrid’s season is essentially over, but they won’t want to hand the title over to their hated rivals Barcelona earlier than need be. What’s more, if Alvaro Arbeloa has any ambition to remain Madrid coach next year, he will need as many victories under his belt as possible. Last weekend’s draw at Betis was a blow to that ambition, and a repeat at Espanyol will probably see Arbeloa passed up in favour of a Mourinho return. Recent form is firmly with Madrid - Espanyol haven’t won in 2026, and we don’t see that changing this weekend.
Aston Villa v Spurs (Sunday, BTTS)
When the story of Spurs 2025-26 season is written, it will dwell on the many leads in games thrown away, and it seems that so far de Zerbi has done little to arrest this trend. Even last weekend’s must-win at Wolves managed to be overshadowed by West Ham and Forest achieving impressive wins. When it comes to this trip to Villa Park, one can easily imagine Spurs getting on the scoresheet but we don’t see their ability to shut up shop for 90 minutes. Not against this Villa team who are still in with a decent chance of UCL qualification, and have been in irresistible form up front all year.
Hibs v Celtic (Sunday, Celtic win)
Celtic’s win over Falkirk helped keep them in the chase last weekend and they look again to be in the easiest round of fixtures, since Hearts and Rangers face off against each other at Ibrox. Martin O’Neill’s side have run up some impressive goal hauls in recent weeks and look like they are hitting form at just the right time - could the Celts finish this topsy turvy season with a league and cup double? Hibs don’t seem likely to stop them and looked vulnerable last week in the Edinburgh derby, even before their disciplinary collapse. It looks likely that any sunshine in Leith will be for Celtic.
Inter v Parma (Sunday, Inter win)
Inter are closing in on another Serie A title, which my Interista fans keep telling me will be number 21. A win over Parma will get them there, and as Parma are mid-table, with no threat of relegation, it’s clear who will be taking this one more seriously. Inter threw away a 2-goal lead at Torino last weekend, which set up a nice potential victory lap at the San Siro on Sunday night.
Juventus v Verona (Sunday, Juventus win)
Juventus are enjoying a strong end to the season, unbeaten in 9 across all competitions. They can make that 10 against their old rivals Verona on Sunday, who are second from bottom, and have endured a disastrous campaign and look like a dead cert for a spell in Serie B next year. They will surely be put out of their misery by La Vecchia Signora at the Allianz.
Everton v Man City (Monday, Man City win)
Pep Guardiola’s cityzens continue their ominous form since we last spoke, with Burnley and then Southampton dispatched with the minimum of fuss, and so we move onto Everton. This is rated by many as one of City’s tougher assignments in the run-in, but it’s hard to see why. He normally waits until May before deploying that tactic! Defensively, the Merseysiders also display lapses of concentration when placed under pressure, as we saw last weekend at West Ham. This looks like a routine win for City.
Checking the LiveScore odds this afternoon got this priced at an amazing 43x return, so double last week’s potential return with less risky BTTS selections. Good luck folks!
