Chelsea are preparing to increase their offer for Granit Xhaka after an initial bid was rejected, while Juventus have been offered Brian Brobbey for around €35m-€40m as an alternative to Randal Kolo Muani. Sunderland have also enquired about free agent Óscar Mingueza, the former Barcelona and Celta Vigo full-back named in the Europa League team of the season.

Rennes are close to signing Eliezer Mayenda from Sunderland for around €25m including bonuses. The 21-year-old Spain Under-21 international scored 10 and provided 5 assists in 2024-25, and then scored 2 Premier League goals in 2025-26; his contract runs to 2030.

Juventus are offered Brian Brobbey as an alternative to Randal Kolo Muani, with a fee of €35m-€40m suggested to start talks, though Sunderland’s stance remains unknown.

Sunderland enquire about free agent Óscar Mingueza. The former Barcelona and Celta Vigo full-back, a Europa League Team of the Season pick, is also attracting interest from Arsenal, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Atalanta.
