Bruno Fernandes Ready to Sign New Man Utd Contract on Two Conditions Amid £400k-a-Week Offer

Bruno Fernandes is prepared to extend his Manchester United contract provided two conditions are met, reports The Mirror.
Fernandes’ current contract at Old Trafford expires in 2028 and the Manchester giants are keen for their captain to extend his stay at the club.
The Portugal international was heavily linked with a move away from the club last summer but rejected a lucrative offer to move to the Saudi Pro League.
United and Fernandes to discuss terms ahead of World Cup
However, Fernandes’ future remains up in the air amidst reports that United want their creative star to decide his next move before the 2026 World Cup.
Football’s showpiece event kicks off in under 100 days, meaning time is running out for United to convince the midfielder to put pen to paper on a new deal.
United are prepared to offer Fernandes a contract worth £400,000 a week in order to convince the 31-year-old to remain in Manchester.
Fernandes, though, will not base his decision on who United sign this summer, with the club keeping tabs on the likes of Adam Wharton, Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali.
New contract conditions revealed
Rather, Fernandes wants the guarantee of Champions League football, while the player is waiting to see whether Michael Carrick remains in charge beyond the summer.
Carrick took over the United reins in January following Ruben Amorim’s exit, penning a deal with United until the end of the season.
The former Boro boss has made a flying start to life back in the Old Trafford dugout having overseen six wins from seven league matches to re-ignite their Champions League pursuit.

A 2-1 win over Crystal Palace saw United leapfrog Aston Villa into third place over the weekend and they’ll look to capitalise upon Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat at table footers Wolves to strengthen their grip on a top-four spot in midweek.
United will aim to boost their Champions League chances when they take on Newcastle at St. James’ Park on Wednesday night.
