Ipswich sign Florentino Luis as transfer links build
Ipswich have signed Florentino Luis from Burnley for an initial £16m plus add-ons. The defensive midfielder says he can bring experience and balance to the team, but offers little attacking threat and may yet need to establish himself as a regular starter.
Ipswich's 2026-27 home kit is ranked 9th. The blue Umbro design nods to Portman Road floodlights, carries a local sponsor, and the club used the marketing budget to buy kits for 115 grassroots youth football clubs in the county.
Ipswich have been linked with Breel Embolo and previously made contact for the striker, but Bournemouth are now in the chase too. Rennes are said to want €15m for the 29-year-old Switzerland forward.
Ipswich are among the clubs interested in free agent Krépin Diatta after his Monaco contract expired. Everton, Marseille and Schalke are also in the race for the 27-year-old winger.
Ipswich are interested in Lausanne-Sport centre-back Karim Sow, while Gladbach, Hull and Strasbourg are also tracking the 23-year-old. A fee of €4m-€5m is expected.
