Southampton are weighing a move for Crystal Palace midfielder Justin Devenny as a versatile option amid midfield exits, though a pundit expects them to lean towards bringing back James Ward-Prowse. Spurs’ Alfie Devine is also under consideration.

New boss Pierre Sage says Palace contacted him in December and he chose the Premier League over Lens’s Champions League. He signed a three-year deal and calls the league his “Champions League every weekend”.

Kamada signs a new one-year deal and vows “we will get another trophy”. Chairman Steve Parish hails his impact. The Japan midfielder starred in Conference League, FA Cup and Community Shield wins, and will join pre-season later after his World Cup.

Palace track Eintracht Frankfurt’s Arthur Theate. The Belgium international, able to play centre-back or left-back, could cost €20-25m after making 33 appearances last season.

Palace and Man Utd have spoken to 18-year-old Toulouse midfielder Alexis Vossah. Valued at around £21m, the France Under-19 international can play as a No 6 or at centre-back. Palace hope Toulouse ties help after the Jaydee Canvot deal.

Southampton weigh moves for Spurs’ Alfie Devine and Palace’s Justin Devenny, but a fan pundit expects a return for James Ward-Prowse. Palace’s Devenny is seen as a versatile option amid Saints midfield exits.
