Brighton confirm Adam Webster exit as women eye Wembley lift

Charlie Rule says Brighton will be inspired at Wembley in their first Women’s FA Cup final v Manchester City, citing wins over Arsenal, Liverpool and a 3-2 league thriller v City as belief builders.
Adam Webster will leave Brighton when his contract expires at the end of June, with Fabian Hurzeler paying a touching tribute to the departing defender.
Brighton lose 3-0 to Manchester United but clinch a Europa Conference League place after Liverpool deny Brentford. Bart Verbruggen’s saves limit damage as Albion finish top 10 for the fourth time in five seasons.
Brighton are in talks to sign Olympiacos right back Costinha for £11m. The ex-winger, 26, is strong in ball recovery and suits Hürzeler’s attacking full backs as Veltman nears exit and right back depth is thin.
Brighton are again linked with São Paulo midfielder Damián Bobadilla. The 24-year-old Paraguay international is being monitored, with offers expected after the World Cup. São Paulo own 60% and want a major fee.
