Serie A side Como were not even playing in a professional division in Italy seven years ago, but now they’ve won their first-ever Champions League match and have the 13th most valuable team in the competition, reports Transfermarkt.

Como beat RB Leipzig 4-1 at the Stadio Sinigaglia on Thursday in the first Champions League match in the club’s history.

When the Hartono family acquired Como in 2019, the Azzurri were playing in Serie D, Italy’s fourth division; from there, they climbed the Italian football pyramid, secured Champions League qualification in 2025-26, and won their first match in Europe’s elite competition yesterday.
