Watch: All of Ibrahimovic’s goals for AC Milan as the striker turns 45
Zlatan Ibrahimovic turns 45 today, so we thought it would be appropriate to look back at all of his goals for AC Milan, naming our favourite too.
It’s been a little over three years since Ibrahimovic decided to hang up his boots, ending a very long and successful career. A large part was spent at San Siro, first playing for Inter and then having two spells with Milan, and a lot of goals were scored.
With the red and black shirt, he found the back of the net a whopping 93 times in 163 games, adding 36 assists as well. A lot of those goals were impressive too, including long-distance shots, backheel finishes, free-kicks, and more.
Reliving Ibrahimovic’s goals for Milan
Seeing as Ibrahimovic turns 45 years old today, as said above, we thought it would only be right to look back at the goals he scored for Milan. Thankfully, when the Swede announced his retirement, the Rossoneri put together a 30-minute video with all of his goals.
If we had to pick one favourite, though, it would definitely be the long-distance shot against Lecce in the 2010-11 season. It’s not as spectacular as the bicycle kick for Sweden against England, but it’s not far away.
The way he made up ground to get to the ball first, used his strength to push the defender away, and picked out the top corner with his weaker foot on the half-volley is just incredibly impressive. It’s one of those goals that truly show what Ibrahimovic was all about as a player.
