Tuttosport: Azzurini goals ‘scored in red and black’ – Milan youngsters send important messages
On Thursday, AC Milan saw their three young stars shine for the Azzurrini, scoring a third of the side’s 15 goals.
When you saw that Italy’s Under-21 side had won 15-0 against Empoli’s Primavera, there were several positives to take from that. Your eyes would rightly be drawn to the scorers, too, where Milan would be left impressed.
As Tuttosport recalls this morning, via MilanNews, a third of the goals were scored by the Rossoneri; Francesco Camarda got one, Davide Bartesaghi got another and then Alphadjo Cisse got an 11-minute hat-trick.
It led to the title that ‘In the Under-21s, goals are scored in red and black’, and it’d be hard to disagree. Even if you look further, Mattia Liberali got two assists in 10 minutes – a difficult reminder.
Milan’s youngsters send message
With Italy starting their Nations League campaign with a loss and Roberto Mancini clearly looking at the younger players, maybe the Diavolo trio need to be considered for senior call-ups.
They’re impressing for the Under-21s, and whilst minutes are limited for Bartesaghi and Camarda, Ruben Amorim is big on Cisse. The senior coach has already been taking a look at the winger, too, so it’s not as if he’s new to the idea of having Cisse around.
Milan’s starlets have laid down the gauntlet now; it’s up to Mancini to decide how much more they need to do for senior call-ups.
