Trio instrumental for Amorim: Player ratings for Milan-Venezia from Italian papers

AC Milan managed to build on their momentum with a 2-0 win against Venezia at San Siro. According to the papers this morning, three players were instrumental in making that happen.

After two games, Milan are sitting at the top of the standings with six points, four goals scored, and just one goal conceded. In short, you could say that it has been a positive start for Ruben Amorim, who was crucial yet again yesterday with his substitutions.

Taking a look at the player ratings handed out by Gazzetta dello Sport and Corriere dello Sport, Alexis Saelemaekers was the MOTM at 7/10 (just like in our ratings) for the former, while Goncalo Ramos was the MOTM for the latter at 7/10.

Another player who stood out was Strahinja Pavlovic, who got a 7/10 by both newspapers. Moving on to the worst on the pitch, Ruben Loftus-Cheek only got a 5/10 by the pink newspaper, while Corriere gave Koni De Winter a 5.5/10.

Had it not been for a couple of good chances missed, Ramos probably would have been the undisputed MOTM here, especially since the chance he did convert was really well taken.
