Thierry Henry warns Como’s Baturina: ‘You will not receive your next paycheck’

It was all smiles in the CBS Sports studio after Como’s 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Thursday evening, with Thierry Henry jokingly warning goalscorer Martin Baturina ‘you will not receive your next pay-check’.

Baturina scored Como’s first ever goal in the Champions League just a quarter of an hour into Thursday night’s 4-1 victory over Leipzig and was awarded the UEFA Player of the Match award after full-time.

He was sent up for media duties and gave an entertaining interview to CBS Sports after the full-time whistle at the Stadio Sinigaglia.

It is becoming a tradition for the CBS panel to ask their interviewees which of the pundits if their favourite from a line-up that includes Micah Richards, Jamie Carragher, host Kate Scott and Henry, who also happens to be an investor in Como.

“I need to say Henry because it’s a Como bond, no?,” Baturina responded.

He was cut off by Henry, who joked: “You have to, if not you will not receive your next paycheck!”
