Serie A clubs ranked by transfer spending in the 2026 summer window

Milan were the biggest spenders in Serie A during the 2026 summer transfer window, followed by Juventus, while Roma and Inter didn’t make the top three.

Transfermarkt has ranked the Serie A clubs by their transfer spending in the 2026 summer transfer window.

The ranking includes loan moves made permanent by each Serie A club and only considers loan fees for loans with an option or obligation to buy.

For example, Jonathan Rowe’s move to Atalanta from Bologna accounts for only €5m, which is the fee Atalanta paid for the English winger’s loan, with an additional €35m due next season when his move will be made permanent.

This is also why Napoli feature in the top six with €71.2m invested in new signings, but this sum mostly refers to loan moves made permanent, including Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United for €44m and Alisson Santos for €16.5m.

The actual money spent by the Partenopei to bring in new players during the summer transfer window was less than €5m: €700,000 for the loan of Mattia Esposito from Sorrento (who then joined Bari on loan), €1m for Costantino Favasuli’s loan from Catanzaro, and €3m for Benoit Badiashile’s temporary transfer from Chelsea.

Milan secured the two most expensive signings of the summer in Italy, welcoming Gonçalo Ramos for €74m and Diego Moreira for €65m, including add-ons.

The third-most expensive purchase was Randal Kolo Muani, who joined Juventus in a €50m transfer package.
