Schira: Milan refuse to open talks with three clubs as Musah is staying
AC Milan have decided to keep Yunus Musah for the upcoming season, according to a report, and have even turned down enquiries from three clubs.
The last few weeks have been somewhat of a roller-coaster for Milan, or rather the players, as Ruben Amorim has been evaluating them in pre-season. Some who seemed destined to leave have been confirmed, while some destined to stay have suddenly ended up on the exit list.
Musah is one of the players who has been linked with several clubs throughout the summer. While there were some suggestions that he could remain, his departure always seemed to be on the cards until yesterday, when Amorim expressed a desire to keep him in the summit with Cardinale.
Another chance for Musah
According to Nico Schira, this isn’t a decision that was made because of a lack of interest either, as three clubs approached Milan about the American midfielder (one in Serie A, one in the Premier League, and one in the Super Lig).
The Rossoneri turned down these approaches, and now they are ready to give Musah another chance to show what he can do in the red and black shirts. The first two seasons, 2023-24 and 2024-25, weren’t exactly a huge success
It will be interesting to see if Amorim intends to use him as one of the two central midfielders in the 3-4-2-1 formation, or as a right wing-back when necessary.
