Report: ‘Only wanted Milan’ – Hutchinson deal ‘completed’ with buy option included
It seems AC Milan have wrapped up another deal this summer, with Omari Hutchinson heading for San Siro before the window closes.
Late last night, it was reported that Hutchinson was on his way to Milan with a verbal agreement in place. Now, it seems that things have taken a step forward, with the loan figure agreed by the two clubs in recent minutes.
Hutchinson deal agreed
According to @FootballKush on X, the Englishman will join the club on loan initially – with the club paying more than €4 million this season – but they will have the option to make his stay permanent at the end of the season.
Unfortunately, there is no suggestion of how much that option is worth. However, Nottingham Forest paid around €43m for him last summer, so it’s tough to imagine a world where it’s much lower than that.
Interestingly, Kush reports that the Englishman had interest from other Premier League clubs this summer, including a permanent move away from Nottingham Forest. However, he ‘only wanted a move to Milan’.
It’s a much-needed signing for the attacking midfield spot, if nothing else, as it adds a new profile to the attack. So it’ll be interesting to see how he finds his feet at San Siro and what role Ruben Amorim sees for him.
