Milan have reportedly registered an interest in Jack Grealish, with the Manchester City forward’s future unresolved in the closing days of the window.

According to Calciomercato.com, citing Football Insider, the Rossoneri have made an approach to City about the England international, who spent last season on loan at Everton. A permanent return to Goodison Park had looked likely but the Merseyside club have cooled on the idea despite his valuation dropping sharply.

Amorim seeks left-sided support striker at Milan

The interest fits a specific need as Ruben Amorim wants a trequartista capable of operating from the left in his 3-4-2-1 before the deadline, particularly with Rafael Leao’s departure still a live possibility.

Grealish’s contract expires next summer, which has driven the asking price down, though reports place the figure anywhere between €10m and €15m. Milan are understood to need it at the lower end.

The 30-year-old has featured for City after a 14-minute cameo off the bench in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth. Whether he is prepared to compete for minutes under Enzo Maresca or would prefer a move to Serie A remains the question.

He rediscovered form early in his Everton loan, scoring twice and providing six assists in his first 22 appearances and winning a Premier League Player of the Month award, before a foot injury interrupted the spell.
