A tough run of games awaits AC Milan after the international break, which is something that Adrien Rabiot is fully aware of.

Since Milan are back to competing on several fronts and not just the league, having qualified for the Europa League this season, the schedule is a lot more hectic. If it hasn’t seemed like that already, the period after the current international break is about to make that clear.

In 29 days, the Rossoneri have nine games to play, which makes for an average of one game every 3.22 days. It’s not like the opponents are the easiest either, with the likes of Atalanta, Bournemouth and Inter on the cards.

Rabiot’s thoughts on the schedule

“First we have Belgium at home. It will be important to finish first in the group, then we will have a few days to take a break and return to Milanello to focus on the next matches.

“I think there are nine games in 27-28 days, so it will be tough. We will have to be ready and hopefully, there won’t be too many injuries. For now, I’m focused on Monday’s match against Belgium,” he said.

Rabiot played the full 90 minutes against Italy, as did his Milan teammate Mike Maignan. He might not return with loads of energy, as such, especially if he starts against Belgium too.
