Inter Milan boss Cristian Chivu faces a potentially nervy night against Bodo/Glimt
  • Inter Milan go in search of a seventh consecutive league win when they travel to Lecce

  • Roma have the best defensive record in Serie A, conceding just 16 goals in 25 games

  • Pisa head to Fiorentina looking for just their second league win of the season

Despite their struggles in Europe, Inter Milan have opened up a seven-point lead at the top of the Serie A table following last week’s win over Juventus.

AC Milan lost ground after drawing with Como in midweek and next face Parma, while the game of the weekend sees Atalanta face Napoli in Bergamo.

Sassuolo vs Hellas Verona (Friday, 7.45pm)

Sassuolo have won three of their last four league games and now face a Verona team who are bottom and have not won since December 14.

The visitors have failed to score in three of their last five games and also drew a blank when the two teams met in Verona in October.

Score prediction: Sassuolo 2-0 Hellas Verona

Juventus vs Como (Saturday, 2pm)

Juventus go into this clash having failed to win any of their last four games in all competitions and without defender Pierre Kalulu, after his sending off at Inter last week.

Como are just four points behind the Turin giants, but Cesc Fabregas’ men have not won any of their last three league games.

Score prediction: Juventus 1-1 Como

Lecce vs Inter Milan (Saturday, 5pm)

Back-to-back wins have moved Lecce out of the relegation zone and they only lost 1-0 at the San Siro when the two teams met in mid-January.

Leaders Inter, going for a 21st Scudetto, have won 4-0 on their last two visits to the Stadio Via del mare.

Score prediction: Lecce 0-2 Inter Milan

Cagliari vs Lazio (Saturday, 7.45pm)

It is 13th vs 9th in Sardinia, with just five points separating the two sides but the visitors have the advantage in recent head-to-head meetings.

November’s 2-0 win in Rome was a sixth successive victory for Lazio over Cagliari — which includes three consecutive away wins.

Score prediction: Cagliari 0-1 Lazio

Genoa vs Torino (Sunday, 11.30am)

Both of these teams are within six points of the relegation zone, so there is plenty to play for at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Torino have the worst defensive record in the Italian top flight, having conceded 44 goals in 25 games, while Genoa have scored eight times in their last three home matches.

Score prediction: Genoa 3-1 Torino

Atalanta vs Napoli (Sunday, 2pm)

Two teams in the top eight do battle on Sunday, with seventh-placed Atalanta unbeaten in their last six league games, although they suffered European disappointment in midweek.

Napoli won 3-2 in Bergamo last season, but Atalanta are on a roll and will see this as a perfect chance for revenge after a 3-1 defeat in Naples in November.

Score prediction: Atalanta 2-1 Napoli

AC Milan vs Parma (Sunday, 5pm)

Milan are unbeaten in 10 games but the Rossoneri have fallen behind rivals Inter due to four of those matches being drawn.

They now face a tricky test against a Parma team that have won their last two games and held them to a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture.

Score prediction: AC Milan 2-1 Parma

Roma vs Cremonese (Sunday, 7.45pm)

No fewer than 23 points and 12 places separate these two teams, with Roma seeking to extend their unbeaten home league record to six matches.

Cremonese have collected just two points from their last six matches and are now just three points outside the relegation zone.

Score prediction: Roma 3-0 Cremonese

Fiorentina vs Pisa (Monday, 5.30pm)

Two of the bottom three meet in a huge game in Florence, with Fiorentina looking to build on last week’s 2-1 win at Como.

Pisa are now nine points from safety and this is looking like the last-chance saloon for Oscar Hiljemark’s men, who have lost three of their last four games.

Score prediction: Fiorentina 2-0 Pisa

Bologna vs Udinese (Monday, 7.45pm)

Bologna kept alive their slim hopes of a European spot with a win at Torino last weekend and now go in search of a league double over Udinese.

The visitors have not won at Bologna since 2017 and have lost their last two league fixtures going into Monday’s clash.

Score prediction: Bologna 1-0 Udinese
