Inter Milan have established a six-point lead at the top of the table
There is just a point between AC Milan in second and Roma in fifth
Fiorentina have moved to within three points of safety after recent uplift
Inter Milan have opened up a six-point gap at the top of Serie A after last weekend’s 2-2 draw with title rivals Napoli was followed by a 1-0 home win over Lecce on Wednesday.
The Scudetto battle is shaping up nicely with AC Milan, Napoli, Roma and now Juventus firmly in the mix.
The Old Lady are the form side in the division and they can end the weekend in second if they win at Cagliari on Saturday and other results go their way
Pisa vs Atalanta (Friday, 7.45pm)
Atalanta are someway off the title pace and start the weekend in seventh but they should secure their fourth straight league win at lowly Pisa. La Dea have kept clean sheets in all three of their recent victories and their hosts have failed to score in their last four at home.
Score prediction: Pisa 0-2 Atalanta
Udinese vs Inter Milan (Saturday, 2pm)
Udinese beat Napoli on home soil a month ago and they can make life hard for leaders Inter, too, having won 2-1 at San Siro earlier in this campaign.
Score prediction: Udinese 1-1 Inter Milan
Napoli vs Sassuolo (Saturday, 5pm)
Three straight draws have hit Napoli hard but one of those came against leaders Inter and the champions should extend their unbeaten run to eight matches with a comfortable win over Sassuolo, who have failed to score in their last two outings.
Score prediction: Napoli 2-0 Sassuolo
Cagliari vs Juventus (Saturday, 7.45pm)
Only Napoli have been too strong for Juventus in their last 16 matches and the Old Lady should keep up their charge with a win at Cagliari. Juve have scored eight goals without reply across their two matches this week and their winning run can continue on Saturday.
Score prediction: Cagliari 0-2 Juventus
Parma vs Genoa (Sunday, 11.30am)
These two are neck and neck in 14th and 15th and this clash could underline just how closely matched they are. Parma held Napoli to a 0-0 draw this week while Genoa won 3-0 at home to Cagliari, so both sides are in decent nick. It was 0-0 when they met earlier this term and a repeat outcome cannot be ruled out.
Score prediction: Parma 0-0 Genoa
Bologna vs Fiorentina (Sunday, 2pm)
Bologna's winless run stretches to seven and they may struggle to see off a lowly Fiorentina side who have improved recently. La Viola are down in 18th but two wins and two draws in their last five outings suggest they are on the up. They could nick this one with Bologna woefully out of sorts.
Score prediction: Bologna 1-2 Fiorentina
Torino vs Roma (Sunday, 5pm)
Torino stunned Roma with a 3-2 victory in the Coppa Italia this week and the scars of that match could thwart the capital giants from exacting their revenge in this rapid rematch. The Giallorossi can ill-afford any slips as they chase the leaders from fifth spot but they may have to settle for a draw on Sunday.
Score prediction: Torino 2-2 Roma
AC Milan vs Lecce (Sunday, 7.45pm)
Four matches in 10 days is far from ideal and AC Milan may struggle to find the energy even to see off struggling Lecce. The visitors lost only 1-0 to Inter at San Siro in midweek but they could nick a point on their return to the famous venue.
Score prediction: AC Milan 1-1 Lecce
Cremonese vs Verona (Monday, 5.30pm)
A creditable 2-2 draw with Napoli did little to improve the position of bottom side Verona and they may lose further ground in the fight for survival against 13th-placed Cremonese. However, the hosts are winless in six and it was 0-0 when these two met earlier this term. Don't expect an avalanche of goals.
Score prediction: Cremonese 1-0 Verona
Lazio vs Como (Monday, 7.45pm)
Como were four matches unbeaten prior to Thursday's home clash with AC Milan and they should be too strong for a Lazio side who have managed to beat only bottom side Verona in their last five outings. Como won 2-0 when they faced the Romans early on in the campaign but things could be tighter this time around.
Score prediction: Lazio 0-1 Como
