And what a goal it was: Fantastic technique to bring down Pavlovic’s long ball over the top and finishing beyond Falcone with his following touch. On his first start of the 2026-27 season as well. Aside from his goal, the American was Milan’s biggest attacking threat across the evening.

Coach: Ruben Amorim 7 – A much needed response from Milan and Amorim after going their last three games across all competitions without a win. The Portuguese tactician changed two of his three attackers from last weekend’s Serie A draw against Lazio, bringing in goalscorer Pulisic and Saelemaekers, who had a decent game as well, and was also rewarded with his second-half substitutions: Moreira netting his third goal in two substitute appearances.

Coach: Eusebio Di Francesco 5 – It was always going to be a tough task for the underdogs in San Siro, and though they did match Milan in terms of their shots on target (four apiece), Lecce allowed their hosts the lion’s share of possession (67%), and they were simply not solid enough defensively if their counter-attacking plan was going to come off.
