Official: Lazio get Frattesi on loan from Inter with option to buy for €15m
Davide Frattesi has officially joined Lazio on loan from Inter with an option to buy at the end of the season, but the obligation had to be removed.
Frattesi finally makes Lazio transfer
Originally, the move was meant to be a €1m loan with an obligation to buy for a further €14m at the end of the season, also leaving 50 per cent of the profit from the future sale to Inter.
However, Lazio financial restrictions made that impossible, so the clubs had to renegotiate the terms yesterday and today.
They resolved it by paying more for the loan at a reported €5m and making it an option to buy for another €10m.
This is a very low figure compared to the €30m asking price, because Inter are keeping what is reported to be 50 per cent of the profit from any future sale.
That is half of anything Lazio pocket beyond €15m, rather than half of the total fee.
