Neville calls Milan’s drubbing of Man Utd ‘a disgrace’: “Hadn’t won in their last three games”

After their loss to AC Milan, Gary Neville had some very harsh words for Manchester United and took a dig at the Rossoneri.

Yesterday was by far Milan’s best performance of pre-season, but Ruben Amorim is not too focused on it. Instead, he knows that there are still things to fix before the first game of the season and he aims to do so.

In terms of the roadmap of pre-season, they’ve grown into it and the performance was certainly more Amorim-ian, rather than Allegrian. By itself, that is a huge positive, considering we have often seen the team looking confused between the tactical styles.

So, with a week of training to go before the Torino game – and with everyone now back at Milanello – there can be a lot of positives drawn from this weekend.

Neville furious after Milan defeat

There were no positives from a Manchester United perspective, though, and David Ornstein reported words from Gary Neville on X yesterday, as MilanNews relayed.

“I actually like the way the match ended: this is a wake-up call for the Manchester United board, who must sign top-quality players before the season starts. United lost to a Milan team that hasn’t won its last three games: it’s a huge disgrace and the club is making no moves to sign anyone.

“If they don’t want to bring Manchester United back to the top, they should sell the club to someone who has United at heart.”

It’s fair to say that the former defender was not too pleased with his old team, why would you be after such a result.
