MN24: ‘Milan’s objective is clear’ – Exploratory conversations take place with Zambo-Anguissa’s entourage

Next summer, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa will be a free agent and AC Milan are more than putting their hat into the ring.

The summer mercato is still a recent memory, but Milan are not sitting and waiting to get going again. Renewal discussions are taking place and that will be the case across Europe, but there may be some situations where talks are not yet starting and that is the case with Napoli and the Cameroonian midfielder.

Milan active in Zambo-Anguissa situation

As MilanNews24 writes, via PianetaMilan, the Diavolo have already begun ‘exploratory discussions’ with Zambo Anguissa’s entourage ahead of his deal’s expiration next summer. Right now, he’d be unlikely to re-sign with the Neapolitan club.

So, Milan’s objective is clear: to sign him as a free agent, with a contract starting on July 1. It’s worth noting, though, that there have been no negotiations just yet. Instead, it’s a case of interest being expressed.

With a wage of €6 million per year, that figure would have to be lowered quite substantially, you’d imagine. However, the lack of a transfer fee being needed could make it more feasible. Then, it also must be considered how much quality he’d bring to the midfield.

Premier League clubs and others from Saudi Arabia are also likely to get involved, so it’ll certainly not be an easy situation. The interest is there though, so for now, they’re in with a chance.
