The AC Milan squad begun their preparations for the season opener against Torino and there was some good news from Milanello.

The week is finally upon us in which Milan will begin their Serie A campaign, with a trip to the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Sunday night to face off against a Torino side led by Ignazio Abate, someone they know very well.

The positive news from Milanello, as per MilanNews, concerns Christian Pulisic. Forty-one days after suffering a hairline fracture while playing for the United States during the World Cup, the forward completed the first part of the training session with the rest of the group.

Furthermore, Matteo Gabbia – who has been out with an ankle problem for the past few days – is expected back with the team tomorrow. La Gazzetta dello Sport spoke of optimism regarding Rafael Leao, though there was no further update on him.

As a reminder, the squad could further be boosted by the inclusion of Diego Moreira. The 22-year-old wing-back is currently undergoing a medical ahead of join from Strasbourg in a deal that is expected to be worth €50m plus bonuses. Depending on when he joins group training, he could get a call-up.
