MN: Chance expected soon for Comotto and Camarda – opportunity needed for Milan’s choices

This summer, Christian Comotto and Francesco Camarda were integrated into the AC Milan first team, but their chances have not come yet.

The season is young, so there has not been much time to give the youngsters a chance. After all, Milan needed to get through the first patch of the season with no faults. However, it should soon open up and the time will come for Comotto and Camarda.

Faith in the kids

As MilanNews write, the Rossoneri have made their choice to believe in the youngsters. They’ll protect them, of course, but they are part of the project and Ruben Amorim sees them as valuable first-teamers.

In fact, their chances may come soon, too.

The game against Lecce could be seen as the ‘perfect opportunity’ to give Comotto and Camarda their first minutes of the season. With it being just before the international break, they could be used to give the senior players a break before they depart.

Every minute counts and the club’s decision not to buy others in their positions shows that they will be back-ups, not just names to fill spots.

Saying that, though, they need to prove themselves, too. Nothing comes for free under Amorim and whilst he wants to experiment, he needs to see signs. Competition is fierce and no one is guaranteed minutes.

When the chance arrives – and the expectation is that it will soon – they must be ready. They won’t need to ‘overdo it’, but they must show the signs. It’ll be their turn and it’s up to them to prove that they deserve the minutes.
