Ahead of this weekend’s game against Lazio, AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim has a few decisions that must be made.

After the draw with Juventus, Amorim won’t be granted a moment to really think. Instead, the attention turns to the game against Lazio this weekend, which could be another big fixture in the European race.

Amorim’s big decisions

MilanNews writes that Amorim has three ‘key points’ ahead of his team’s trip to Rome and it starts in defence.

It’s established by now that the Rossoneri cannot do without Mario Gila. So, on his return back to the Olimpico, the first key point is to see if he can play 90 minutes for the first time this season.

After his early removal this weekend, he was expected to have scans. However, these weren’t needed and he hoped to play against Lazio. After a rest day this week, he may be in better condition to play the full game this weekend.

Moving to midfield, the next question looks at the partnership between the wing-backs. Luka Modric is seemingly struggling at the moment, so the Portuguese must look at whether resting him could be the move for this fixture.

Lazio’s midfield is strong, so a shift may be needed. If this is the case, will there be room for Ardon Jashari. Alternatively, the Swiss could replace Yunus Musah. Either way, a decision is needed.

Finally, the No.10 roles must be decided. Alphadjo Cisse must return to having a starting spot, but Adrien Rabiot may be given another shot as a starter. Perhaps it will even be the right moment for Christian Pulisic…
