AC Milan had a very good shout for a penalty kick rejected last night during the eventual 2-1 win against Torino.

Just before the Rossoneri did score their opening goal of the game through Alphadjo Cisse, there were strong appeals for a penalty waved away when Nikola Vlasic blocked a cross with his arm.

Nothing was awarded on the field and the VAR team did have a look at it, opting not to call the referee over to the monitor. The distance was very close, but Vlasic’s arm was already very wide from the start and moves toward the ball.

The only replay shown on the broadcast feeds lacks depth, but it’s hard to imagine that it would have been overturned if given. Thankfully the win was secured regardless, though a clip has showed how owner Gerry Cardinale reacted to the non-call.
