Lazio worry as Gudmundsson off injured during Iceland match

Lazio are worried after Albert Gudmundsson went off with a shoulder injury following a nasty fall when playing for Iceland in the Nations League.

There have been numerous injuries already to players on international duty so early into this long break, leaving clubs tense and concerned at a delicate stage of the season.

Gudmundsson concern for Lazio

According to Sky Sport Italia, Gudmundsson fell very awkwardly during the match between Iceland and Estonia this afternoon, hurting his shoulder.

He was forced off the pitch just 30 minutes into the game, when the score was still at 0-0, making way for Isak Thorvaldsson.

Initial reports suggest a potential dislocated shoulder, although further tests are required.

The 29-year-old started the season with Fiorentina and moved on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season, completing the transfer on deadline day.

He has scored one goal in three brief substitute appearances for Lazio, on his debut in a 2-1 victory away to Udinese on September 7.
