Kean reports for individual training after Fiorentina stand-off

Moise Kean reported for an individual training session with Fiorentina on Wednesday afternoon, stepping back from a stand-off that had escalated through the morning.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Viola summoned the striker for the separate session after he failed to appear alongside the rest of the squad earlier in the day, and indicated he will attend. The club have already fined him.

The dispute is driven entirely by the transfer market. Kean is pushing hard for a move to Como, who have lodged a second bid for the forward worth a total of €40m, comprising €35m fixed and a further €5m in bonuses.

Fiorentina are unmoved and the club’s position is that no sale will be sanctioned until a replacement of equivalent quality has been identified, and they have shown no sign of softening despite the player making his preference plain.

That stance matches what sporting director Fabio Paratici set out publicly on Monday, when he insisted before the defeat at Roma that Fiorentina have no need to sell and named three conditions for any departure: the player asking to leave, a suitable offer arriving, and a replacement being secured.
