Juventus, Vicario has signed. The squad number
The goalkeeper arrives on loan with an option to buy
Guglielmo Vicario is a new Juventus player. The Italian goalkeeper has signed the contract that ties him to the club, completing one of the final formal steps in making his move from Tottenham to Turin official.
Juventus struck an agreement with Tottenham on the basis of a free loan, while also securing an option to sign him on a permanent deal. The option to buy is set at €8 million, with a further €2 million in bonuses potentially to be added. The deal gives Juventus the chance to assess Vicario over the course of the season before deciding whether to trigger the option for a permanent transfer.
After the player's signature, only the final formalities remain. All that's missing now is the official Juventus statement, expected shortly, which will formally launch the 1996-born goalkeeper's new adventure in black and white.
Vicario now starts a new chapter in his career after his spell at Tottenham, returning to Italy. He will have to make his case to earn space and trust in the Juventus squad.
In Turin, Vicario will wear the number 25 shirt, ready to officially begin his Juventus career as soon as the club's announcement arrives.
