Juventus change their mind over Nico Gonzalez: contract renewal offered

Nico Gonzalez has gone from a player heading for the exit to a pillar of this Juventus side. In the space of a few months he has become indispensable, even though Juventus spent much of the summer trying to move him on and the Argentine himself wanted to leave. More specifically, he wanted to return to Madrid, to Atletico, to Simeone, with whom he finished last season. He pushed for it until the end, but the conditions were never there. Good start to the season

Against AC Milan, he stayed on the pitch for 64 minutes and delivered more encouraging signs. He can play anywhere in this Juventus side, as an attacking winger, a striker or an attacking midfielder, and in a difficult spell with so many injuries he can find space and become a certainty.

Possible contract renewal

According to La Stampa, Gonzalez has felt the affection of his team-mates and the trust of manager Spalletti, which has helped him feel important at Juventus again and made him open to a contract extension. Juventus are considering renewing the deal, which expires in 2029. His current salary is €3.6 million net per season.
