Juventus celebrate Sarr arrival and Woltemade agreement with Newcastle United

There is double good news for Juventus, as Pape Matar Sarr landed to complete his move from Tottenham Hotspur, while Nick Woltemade agreed personal terms on a €5m loan from Newcastle United.

The Bianconeri are looking to the Premier League for reinforcements this summer, and specifically in the final hours of the transfer window.

They shook hands with Tottenham Hotspur last night for midfielder Sarr, who coach Roberto De Zerbi had confirmed put in a request to leave London.

That agreement was reached on loan with option to buy at the end of the season for a total fee of €30m.

The option becomes an automatic obligation if Juve qualify for the Europa League, and Sarr appears in at least 50 per cent of the team’s matches this season.

Sarr landed in Turin this evening and will undergo the medical tests on Tuesday.

Juventus also managed to agree personal terms with Woltemade, so he too will pack his bags and fly out from England to Turin within hours.

The Bianconeri had secured the German international’s loan for a fee of €5m, but there is no purchase option attached, so he will return to Newcastle United next summer.

Woltemade is the replacement for Jonathan David, who has just agreed a loan with option to buy move for €25m to Atletico Madrid.
