Juventus, Avellino pressing for talented Licina: loan move a possibility
The Irpinian club are tracking the Juventus Next Gen youngster
Avellino have not given up on Adin Licina. The Juventus Next Gen attacking midfielder, born in 2007, has been on the Irpinia club's radar for weeks and they are ready to step up their efforts to bring him to the Biancoverdi.
Licina spent part of pre-season with Juventus' first team, also working under Luciano Spalletti. He has, however, returned to the Next Gen squad and has already featured in the Serie C Coppa Italia.
According to TuttoJuve.com, yesterday Avellino sporting director Mario Aiello spoke with Juventus to assess the terms of a possible move for the player. There have also been encouraging signs from Licina's camp, with the attacking midfielder understood to have shown a willingness to consider a move to the Irpinian club.
That opening could speed up the negotiations. Over the next few hours, Aiello is expected to hold another meeting with the 2007-born player's agents to try to reach an agreement and map out the next steps of the deal.
