Juventus and Inter Milan Consider January Swap Deal Involving Locatelli and Frattesi

Heated rivals Juventus and Inter Milan are weighing up a January swap deal as the duo consider refreshing their respective midfields, reports Italian publication Tuttomercatoweb.
Inter are flying high as they look to wrestle the Scudetto away from Napoli having finished second by a point last season.
The Nerazzurri head into the international break top of Serie A following their 2-0 win over Lazio at the weekend.
Title rivals AC Milan and Napoli each dropped points against Parma and Bologna, respectively.
Roma, meanwhile, are hot on Inter’s heels as a 2-0 win over Udinese saw them go into the domestic hiatus level on 24 points with Christian Chivu’s men.
Juventus-Inter swap deal on the cards?
And Inter could add an Italy international to the ranks in the New Year if reports from Italy are to be believed.
Tuttomercatoweb suggest that Juventus and Inter could be involved in a midfield swap deal when the transfer window re-opens in January.
The deal would see Manuel Locatelli move to Milan and Davide Frattesi go the other way.
Frattesi has struggled to force his way into the Inter starting XI with all but one of his eight league appearances coming from the bench.
However, he could be handed a reprieve with a switch to Juventus on the cards.
Spalletti a big fan of Frattesi
The Old Lady brought in Luciano Spalletti as Igor Tudor’s replacement in Turin and the former Napoli and Italy boss is a huge fan of the 26-year-old.
Spalletti would often hand Frattesi minutes for the Azzurri, while the midfielder is a player Juventus have admired since his time at Sassuolo.
Inter, though, would only be willing to strike a deal with Juventus were they to add another player in return, with Locatelli supposedly high on the club’s wishlist.
Locatelli is a key man for Juventus and has started all but one of their 11 league matches this season.
Spalletti is set to have an influential role in Juventus’ upcoming transfer strategy, with the 66-year-old’s familiarity with Frattesi expected to play a key role in negotiations.
Juventus and Inter have rarely engaged in direct transfer dealings such is the heated rivalry between the two teams, but the possibility of a Locatelli-Frattesi exchange would benefit the pair.
