Interest from Saudi Arabia in the Portuguese player

Al Hilal’s transfer plans could end up overlapping with Francisco Conceicao’s future. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi club have made official contact with Arsenal over Gabriel Martinelli, their first-choice target to strengthen the forward line. The Brazilian has also opened the door to a move to the Saudi Pro League, which makes the option especially concrete. That is where Conceicao enters the picture: according to Fabrizio Romano, Juventus winger Conceicao is among the alternatives Al Hilal are considering, along with Pedro Neto, if a deal for Martinelli fails to go through.

For now, the pecking order seems clear: Martinelli is ahead of Conceicao in Al Hilal’s thinking. The Portuguese winger remains a player they are tracking and could come back into focus if talks with Arsenal become complicated, either financially or in negotiations. For Conceicao, then, a possible move abroad is opening up right at the end of the transfer window. Interest from Simone Inzaghi’s Al Hilal does not yet amount to concrete negotiations, but it does confirm the Portuguese talent is on the radar of one of the Saudi Pro League’s most ambitious clubs.

At Juventus, Luciano Spalletti's stance is clear for now, and after Juventus' away win at Frosinone he set out his position: "Conceicao is not for sale as far as I’m concerned. There was a moment when we were all on the market, me included, because we did not qualify for the Champions League. Then the directors balanced the books, Conceicao is a strong player whom we want to keep".
