Jashari, Modric and Musah: Midfield watch for Milan fans this evening

While there won’t be any AC Milan game to watch this evening, Rossoneri fans can at least enjoy three of the club’s midfielders in action.

The long international break has only just begun and it already feels like a while since we saw Ruben Amorim’s men on the pitch. The next game isn’t until October 11, when the Rossoneri will take on Sassuolo away from home, so that’s still two weeks from now.

Fortunately, it won’t be all quiet on the Milan front in these two weeks. A total of 15 players have been called up for international duty, and since the break is longer, there will be more opportunities to see them play for their respective national sides.

Midfielders to keep an eye on

This evening, the likes of Ardon Jashari, Luka Modric and Yunus Musah are the ones who could get some minutes. In other words, midfield galore! Jashari and Modric are both expected to start their games, Switzerland-North Macedonia and Czech Republic-Croatia, but Musah is uncertain.

The United States are taking on Peru in a friendly game, scheduled for 22:30 Italy time, but the Milan midfielder hasn’t been mentioned in the predicted elevens. As for the other two games, they are both in the Nations League and will start at 20:45 Italy time.

Christian Pulisic hasn’t been called up by Mauricio Pochettino, in case you were wondering, so he’s currently enjoying some rest. It should also be noted that the Milan loanee Zachary Athekame could get his senior debut for Switzerland, starting along with his club teammate Jashari.
