Inter Unveil €100m Training Centre Vision Through 2028
Inter have confirmed a €100 million infrastructure programme covering both the Inter Training Center at Appiano Gentile and Interello, with the work running in phases through to 2028.
According to Sport e Impianti, the Nerazzurri are extending the Pinetina’s overall surface area from 80,000 to 90,000 square metres, taking the number of pitches from four to five and adding a dedicated goalkeepers’ area. The technical zone will grow from 4,500 to 7,500 square metres, with new spaces for preparation, injury recovery and performance management.
President and CEO Giuseppe Marotta framed the investment as forward-looking, saying infrastructural investment symbolises a Club like Inter’s need to always aim for excellence, and that Oaktree ownership immediately recognised the importance of equipping the squads with cutting-edge sporting centres to help talents develop in every respect.
A First Team Power House and a Future House for the U23s
The new first-team building, called the Power House, will provide 800 square metres of player and staff space alongside separate 200 square metre recovery and medical areas. A parallel Future House for the Under-23 side will include its own pitch, a 150-seat covered stand, a gym, hospitality lounge and 600 square metres of facilities, with the U23 squad set to move into the Training Center from the 2027/28 season.
The plan also introduces an Innovation Hub, launched last season to support all of Inter’s squads through data, video and specialist performance expertise, plus a return-to-play facility within the medical area. At Interello, the club’s youth and women’s football base, a new building for the women’s first team has already been completed, with a covered stand still to come.
The scale of the project sits alongside Marotta’s broader investment philosophy and follows recent progress in Inter’s youth development pathway, underlining how facilities and squad building are being pursued in tandem as Chivu’s side prepares for the campaign, a process also shaped by the club’s summer transfer priorities.
