Goal, assists and a number 10 – how Milan’s internationals fared on Saturday night

AC Milan have several players representing them over the international break and four were in action last night, with some strong performances to take note of.

Back at Milanello, there are players readying themselves for a matchday scenario against Padova later this week, where Ruben Amorim will be given a chance to test the attacking combinations available to him at Milan.

However, he will also watch the international break with a bit of joy. Indeed, seeing his players perform for their nations is only a good thing for him and there are certainly a few players who could impress over the two-week break.

Saturday’s internationals

Starting with Luka Modric, the Croatian midfielder became the oldest player to ever score for Croatia, as they beat Czechia 2-1 away from home. It’s no surprise that he was given the highest rating by Sofascore too, with an 8.5.

In Switzerland’s game against North Macedonia, Ardon Jashari played 90 minutes, making 59/67 passes with four defensive contributions. However, the flowers of the game would be given to Zachary Athekame, who got two assists.

Finally, Yunus Musah played 62 minutes wearing the No.10 shirt, making 38/38 passes and winning two of his four duels. It’s clear that his improvement has not been limited to things in a Milan shirt.
