“Genuinely realistic” – Discussing Milan’s potential signing of Endrick on loan
In the latest podcast episode, the boys discussed the potential signing of Endrick, with AC Milan eyeing a loan agreement with Real Madrid.
Earlier today, during his appearance at the Festival dello Sport, the former Milan striker Alexandre Pato shared a few words on his compatriot Endrick. In addition to urging him to leave Real Madrid for playing time, he confirmed that Gerry Cardinale tried to sign him in the summer.
Indeed, there were plenty of reports of a loan agreement in the summer, but the clubs were unable to reach an agreement in the end.
Endrick to Milan on loan?
Speaking about the matter in the latest podcast episode, before Pato’s words we should add, the boys shared their thoughts on the potential signing. Safe to say that they all view it as a great opportunity for Milan.
Ahmed: “I think Endrick is genuinely realistic, I mean, I would actually be more surprised if it didn’t happen than if it did. He literally doesn’t play football at the moment, he just doesn’t play for them whatsoever.”
Anthony: “When you look at our attack right now, obviously Ramos is going to be the striker, and technically Endrick could be the backup striker. However, he wouldn’t come here to be a backup, so he could be one of the attacking midfielders behind Ramos.”
Ahmed: “He’s an instant starter. If you go watch his stuff from Lyon last season, he scored five goals and got seven assists in 14 starts. That’s incredible. We wouldn’t have to develop him either, he instantly just slots into the eleven. All of the Real Madrid loans are instant starters.”
Ben: “I hate speaking about PR as an actual thing that matters, but it really does. If Cardinale can go out and say ‘I have spent €75m on a striker, €100m on two centre-backs (Inacio and Gila), and then I have got Endrick’. That would do him so much good.”
