The AC Milan hierarchy do not intend for Diego Moreira to be the last addition of the summer window, despite the big outlay.

In case you missed the big news of the past 24 hours, Fabrizio Romano among other sources is reporting that Milan and Strasbourg have agreed a deal worth €50m plus add-ons for Moreira, who landed this morning for his medical.

The 22-year-old is a Belgium international who can play on either wing and also further forward. While waiting to see if he is in the squad for Sunday, the directors are busy working on the next moves.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) answer the question: does Moreira’s arrival close the Rossoneri transfer window? We must ‘proceed with caution’, but the feeling is that he isn’t the last signing of the summer market.

There’s talk of a central defender being wanted, and/or a quality addition to the attacking midfield department too (implying Moreira will indeed be used as a wing-back). Certainly, there’s also a desire to move players on that are no longer part of the plans.

David Odogu joined Toulouse on loan yesterday, while solutions still need to be found for the other three players ‘banished’ Ruben Amorim: Fikayo Tomori, Youssouf Fofana, and Christopher Nkunku (keep an eye on Leipzig and Newcastle for him). Then, there is the Rafael Leao saga.
