Gallery: ‘Milan’s saviour’, ‘Moreira sensational’ – Today’s front pages in Italy
Diego Moreira rescued AC Milan’s Saturday evening with a brace off the bench, and rightfully so, he was heavily praised by the newspapers this morning.
Milan looked like they were heading for their first defeat of the season after conceding twice in the first half against Lazio. On top of that, Gennaro Gattuso’s men were truly dominating the affair, so there wasn’t exactly much hope for the Rossoneri.
However, three substitutions made ahead of the second half changed the face of the game. Yunus Musah and Christian Pulisic added some much-needed energy and quality on the ball, while Moreira came up with the decisive finishes.
In other words, the Belgian didn’t just get his first goal for the club but also his second, making sure the Rossoneri travelled home from the capital with one point in their bag.
