Here are the player ratings for both teams

Frosinone (4-3-3)

Palmisani 6: no blame for Bremer's goal, but he gifts Juventus a corner by waiting more than five seconds to take a goal kick. He then produces an excellent save to deny a fierce right-footed effort from Yildiz, after the post had rescued him from Kalulu's shot. After the break, he does well off his line against Kolo Muani

Cittadini 5.5: comes through several duels with the visitors' forwards unscathed

Calvani 6.5: his perfectly timed sliding challenge to nick the ball off Kolo Muani's feet as he shaped to shoot right-footed in the box proves crucial. Late on, he crashes a header against the bar

Monterisi 6: tries to impose himself in the air, both at the back and going forward, but can do nothing about Bremer. He is less convincing with the ball at his feet, with his passing often inaccurate (67' Oyono 5.5: comes on and has Boga running at him straight away, which causes problems)

Bracaglia 5.5: Conceicao spends most of the game on his side and is never an easy opponent. He does get forward and draws a save from Vicario with one effort (76' Terzic 5: only really seen in the final minute, when he blazes wildly over)

Fini 5.5: offers a good outlet on the right when the team attack and covers well too. He links up nicely with Cichella in that area, grows into the game and forces Vicario to turn his effort behind for a corner (59' Zerbin 6: his energy on both the right and left makes an impact, and he asks questions of both Cambiaso and Kalulu)

Calò 5.5: a containing display, largely spent suffering and chasing the ball through Juventus' midfield passing moves

Cichella 5.5: only rarely looks to build attacking moves, although he does put together a few decent moments with Fini (68' Hasa 6: comes on and gets involved straight away, helping create an attacking move and looking for a shot)

Schmid 5: a difficult game for the No 10, hemmed in by the tight marking of Juventus' defence and midfield (59' Masini: n/a)

Raimondo 6: up against the giants in Juventus' defence, he makes little impact. As the game wears on, though, he tries to use his physique more and gets some decent results

Kvernadze 6: lively with his dribbling from the start, he goes close with a right-footed effort that drifts just wide, then tries again with his left and sends it out

Manager

Alvini 6: sets his side up as he had to, suffers early on, then sees his team grow into it and, with well-judged changes, go close to a sensational equaliser

Juventus (4-2-3-1)

Vicario 6: not always accurate with his long distribution, whether with his feet or his hands, but better with the short passes. Between the posts he does well to parry a dangerous effort from Bracaglia and a shot from Fini. In the closing stages, he is forced off with a physical problem (91' Perin: n/a)

Kalulu 6.5: he patrols the right flank with confidence behind Conceicao. When he gets forward he misses a couple of crosses, but he also hits the post. He does well to slide a fine ball through to Conceicao, who fails to make the most of it. In the final stages of the match he shows all his experience

Bremer 7: he is the first to go close to scoring with a header, then finds the target at the second attempt with an unstoppable header from a Conceicao assist

Kelly 6: alert and precise in defence, he rarely gets forward. On one of those runs he fires over from a Yildiz assist. He starts the second half with a huge error that sparks a Frosinone move. In the closing stages he keeps the Juventus back line standing, which shudders at Calvani's crossbar

Celik 6: very lively, with constant attacking forays in support of midfield and attack, but not always especially precise with the final ball, even if he plays Conceicao through in front of goal, only for him to waste it badly (69' Cambiaso 5.5: just after coming on, he picks up a yellow card for a crucial tactical foul. He then loses an ugly ball that allows Frosinone to break)

Locatelli 6: his usual tactically attentive display, bringing balance between the departments. He suffers a bit in the closing stages, with a couple of balls too many launched forward without looking

Douglas Luiz 6.5: good movement both in the build-up phase and in breaking up play. The pace is not exceptional, as Spalletti also said, but the technique is good, including with his crosses. He tries to score from a free-kick and from distance, but the ball always finishes high. He fades a little as the game goes on, with a couple of poorly struck balls forward (from 79' Koopmeiners 5.5: he starts by giving the ball away, then looks for a shot, winning a corner that gives the team some breathing space)

Conceicao 6: Juventus' play leans more often to the right, on his side, than to Yildiz's. He provides a precious assist for Bremer's headed goal, then lays a ball off badly for Yildiz in a fast move with the Frosinone defence exposed. He starts the second half with a right-footed effort that is saved, then misses terribly one-on-one with the goalkeeper from a Celik assist. He tries again with a powerful left-footed strike from distance, the ball going just wide (from 69' Zhegrova 6.5: just after coming on, he tries a dink to pick out his team-mates in the box, but without success. He then goes alone, creates space well, but the shot is one to forget. With a couple of dribbles he gets the team out of some awkward situations in possession)

McKennie 6.5: more substance than quality from the American, but he is truly everywhere and increasingly indispensable for Spalletti

Yildiz 6: he starts badly, sees little of the ball and looks a bit nervy. Then the quality of his performance improves and he begins to create chances. In one of those moments he is too unselfish and squares for Kelly instead of shooting from a good position. From a fierce right-footed strike, after a Kalulu effort off the post, he is denied by a great save from Palmisani (from 70' Boga 6: he brings a bit of liveliness on the left flank, but with some inaccuracy)

Kolo Muani 6: a couple of misplaced lay-offs early in the game, then he starts to look for goal and to play for his team-mates at pace. He misses a huge chance from two yards out, clumsily. In the second half he runs a lot, but with little to no effect, and struggles to find space to shoot

Spalletti 6: a hard-fought win, with a goal coming from the defence, an attack that fails to threaten and the risk of being pegged back at the end. There is a lot of work to do
